OAO Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (CMW) is one of the oldest ferrous metallurgy enterprises in the Urals area with complete technological cycle of metal production.  The specific nature of the enterprise’s business was originally stipulated by its geographical location.  The factory is located in the very heart of the Urals on the Chusovoy river bank close to raw materials and energy sources.  The immediate proximity to a junction station ensures railway communication with all Russian regions.

The Chusovoy Metallurgical Works is Russia's only enterprise with a complete ferrovanadium production cycle.  CMW is unique because it uses titanomagnetite vanadium containing iron ore raw materials.  The factory has blast-furnace, steel-smelting, ferroalloy, rolling, and spring production processes.  It produces high-quality metallurgical products: rolled section steel; special-shaped steel for the automotive, machine building, shipbuilding, and other industries; vanadium cast iron; refined cast iron; automobile springs.

Today, CMW is one of the most promising and successful industrial enterprises in the Kama river region.  The factory is a Russia’s leader in automotive spring and ferrovanadium manufacture and holds a firm position in the rolled products and reinforcing steel market.  The products made by the Chusovoy Works is well-known in Russia and in many European and Asian countries.  The enterprise’s partners include automotive giants ZIL, KamAZ, GAZ, etc.
